To celebrate, we'll have a read-in and half hour game time tomorrow during our writing block. Students may bring a board game, chapter book, slippers, and special snack- whatever they can fit into their backpack. All items must fit into the back pack.
We met our classroom conduct goal last week and filled our Warm and Fuzzy Jar! Woo Hoo!

They should have been turned in last week. • We are missing many teacher books from our personal classroom libraries. We would be very appreciative if they could be returned as soon as possible. Also, if you have any books that your child has 'outgrown' or lost interest in, please consider donating them to our class library. Thank you so much! Dear Parents,
Your child has been working busily to prepare to host you this Friday. Our fourth graders are very excited and proud to show off their hard work. (I am, too!) Please remind your student that Thursday is the last day to bring any photos to personalize their project. Photos should be no larger than a 4x6. As of this week, we are running very low on supplies. Will you please search your extra supplies and craft closet today and consider donating any unwanted items for our classroom to use? We especially need acid-free glue (elmer's sticks are fine- no wet glue, please), scrapbook paper, colored paper, flat stickers, and cut-outs. Anything you can send will be a welcomed help. Thank you! See you Friday, Meg Tomorrow is our field trip to the Sam Houston Museum. Be sure to arrive to school on time since we will be leaving school about 8:30. If your parent is driving to the Museum, they can follow the bus or click here for directions. You can also get a sneak peak of the museum through the same website. Remember to wear your orange field day shirt and athletic shoes. We will be walking a lot. Bring a lunch in a gallon ziplock bag with your name on it. Cameras, hats, sunglasses are allowed, but please do not bring phones, I pads, I pods, Kindles or any other type of electronic device. Lastly, you can travel lightly since you won't need your backpack. We're going to have a great time! See you in the morning!
Our poetry unit is in full bloom. As homework due Wednesday, students will type two of their poem drafts at home. Instead of printing, email your typed work to [email protected].
If a student does not have access to the internet, please write four student-choice poems at home and type at school. Dear Parents,
