WORD STUDY

Our spelling program is a word study program. This highly effective curriculum teaches our students to decode high frequency words that are used often in their writing, identify common spelling patterns, and train their brains to spell illogically misspelled words. This program is designed to help students become fluent decoders and spellers. We will not have weekly tests, but we will have various activities involving the frequently misspelled words that will be introduced each month.

****Students are expected to write their monthly words in their planner and spell all word wall words correctly on assignments.  WW will be marked next to any misspelled word wall word and points will be deducted from the assignment. ****
